Join us for an important conversation about history, community organizing, race relations, the Appalachian diaspora and poverty in America as author and activist James Tracy comes all the way from California to discuss his book “Hillbilly Nationalists, Urban Race Rebels and Black Power: Community Organizing in Radical Times.” (co-authored with Amy Sonnie)

The book discusses how working Class whites were very much a part of the the New Left of the 1960’s & The Original Rainbow Coalitions, organizing along side groups like the Black Panthers and the Young Lords.
